Relaxed DIY wedding at Wood Lane Countryside Centre
Eddy and Lucie took DIY wedding-ing to a whole new level, in fact, I wonder if they should actually organise weddings professionally, such was the wow factor of their day! From Eddy’s bespoke suit (handmade by his talented bride no less) to the beautiful flower arch crafted by the groom himself, this was an absolute dream of a day! These touches coupled with the beautiful space at Wood Lane Countryside Centre made for an awesome wedding which we absolutely loved photographing!
Outdoor wedding ceremony
One of the things I like about Wood Lane Countryside Centre weddings is the flexibility of the space. The couple planned an outdoor ceremony, with that arch as the centrepiece. Although the rain did not initially play ball, this didn’t dampen spirits and the ceremony went ahead with umbrellas at the ready! After their ceremony was over, the couple then went inside the Georgian stone built farmhouse for their civil ceremony and when the legal bits were done they ventured outside for some couple’s portraits in the scenic grounds of the farm. Eddy’s floral arch also made a gorgeous backdrop for their group photos.
Vegan Street Food
Next it was time for the wedding breakfast and speeches. The light in the Grain Loft at the Wood Lane Countryside Centre was particularly gorgeous that day, throwing gorgeous light on to their beautifully crafted purple and magnolia floral details. The couple had laid on vegan junk food from Wholesome Junkies, which went down a storm with their guests. I can say from personal experience their Reuben burger were delicious! I’d highly recommend!
Flexible space to make the wedding their own
We loved the way the couple used the space to allow a really relaxed and fun atmosphere for the couple and their guests! Including a chill-out tent stocked games and entertainment for their younger guests. This meant that guests weren’t ever bored! As afternoon light faded the wedding party enjoyed cake, made by Lucie, of course! And then it was time to PARTY and back up to the Grain Loft which was transformed for the evening celebrations. I love it when wedding guests fully commit to the dancefloor and Eddy and Lucie’s guests did not disappoint.
