Bartle Hall Wedding Photographer
Claire and Tim had a black tie twilight wedding at Bartle Hall and we were delighted to be chosen as their wedding photographers. This wedding was a dream for me as I am a massive fan of all things Christmas and absolutely loved capturing the twinkly Christmas tree lights that decorated their wedding breakfast space!
This was our first time photographing a wedding at Bartle Hall and the team at the venue were so lovely and welcoming and very well organised! When we arrived I went upstairs to the bridal suite to say hello to Claire and get some detail shots of her dress and shoes and some make-up shots with Lou Mac, who was so friendly and warm! The dress was hung up over the bath and looked absolutely stunning, I was in my element! We worked with James from Chumley Films on this day and chatted together about how to get the best shots for each segment of the day. It’s really nice when we get along well with the videographer, and James was so relaxed and unobtrusive and just a pleasure to be around, so definitely check him out!
Meanwhile Andrew was in with Tim getting some shots of the final few moments of him getting ready before heading downstairs to greet guests.
Wedding Day Music
Claire and Tim had hired a pianist for their day, the lovely Liz Hendry, and this helped create a really nice, relaxed atmosphere, as well as adding a touch of class! Planning music throughout your day is so important. It sets the tone and really does a lot of the work in creating the right atmosphere throughout your day.
Tim was quite nervous before the ceremony but just about managed not to cry as Claire made her way down the aisle arm in arm with her Dad. This was a wedding ceremony full of laughs and giggles and was a dream to photograph!
Wedding Photography at Bartle Hall
After the ceremony the couple mingled with their guests in the lounge before having some super quick group photos with their closest family and bridal party. As this was a twilight wedding and there was no light outside at 5pm in November, we headed to the Coach House for these photos. The room was beautifully set up for the couple’s wedding breakfast.
Speeches in the Coach House
After the group photos the Tim and Claire and their guests sat down for speeches and food! Speeches are a great time for us to get emotion-filled wedding photos. Claire and Tim did not disappoint! Tim presented a framed certificate to Claire’s Dad which referenced a long-standing joke between the two of them, this created a great moment! Next Claire took the stage to deliver her own speech. I’m a big fan of bride speeches! And maid of honour speeches too for that matter, why should the boys have all the limelight?!
Sparkler Shots: Top Tip from a Bartle Hall Wedding Photographer
After food we went outside for some sparkler shots. This is a nice option if you want something different from confetti or if you want to do both! It’s a really good idea to buy good quality, long sparklers and to have a way of lighting them all at the same time for maximum impact. Giving each guest a lighter or a match is a good idea. After we got some gorgeous sparkler shots, we headed inside and got photographs of Claire and Tim greeting their evening guests, cutting the cake and enjoying their first dance!
We had a ball at Claire and Tim’s wedding, they were an absolutely lovely couple and their guests did not disappoint in delivering on the black tie brief with their gorgeous gowns and bow-tie suits, such a handsome bunch! We also loved working with some lovely suppliers too, we would definitely love to go back and do it all again!
Huge congratulations to you Mr & Mrs Leather!
