It was a coming together of some fantastic Cheshire wedding suppliers for Keira and Danny’s summer Styal Lodge wedding and as we arrived for Keira’s bridal prep (which sits conveniently as an annex to the ceremony space) we were wowed by scene set by Julie at White Room Floral Design. Keira and Danny had chosen blush and wild flowers for their wedding theme. Julie had done an amazing job and the floral arrangements were stunning. Andrew immediately set to work capturing all of the details, while I introduced myself to Keira’s bridesmaids and met the lovely Vicky Adamson MUA who was already doing her thing making people beautiful-er.
Keira was such a calm bride, and as the ceremony drew near, and she got into her dress and had the final touches to her make up a sense of giddy excitement came over and she didn’t stop giggling. This became a theme throughout the day, as Keira giggled down the aisle and she and Danny cheekily chuckled through their ceremony.
After the ceremony, the couple and their guests were greeted with a glass of fizz and a handful of confetti and so then the throwing commenced. After that, we went to the gardens at the rear of the Lodge for some group portraits. Then off on the buggy driven by one of Styal Lodge’s brilliant wedding co-ordinators, Georgia, to the lake for bride and groom portraits. We had 15 minutes and this wasn’t a warm day but the back drop of the lake gave us plenty of material for some lovely pictures of the couple.
After that we headed back to the lodge for the entrance of the bride and groom and their wedding breakfast, followed by speeches from Keira’s Dad, Danny, and of course, Danny’s best man, which was one to remember! After the wedding breakfast guests relaxed around the Lodge, and some even took part in an impromptu game of cricket in the gardens – although Keira didn’t take part she cheered her Dad, brothers, and of course, Danny from the sidelines.
Before long, the sun was setting and the band were all set up, my off-camera lights were set up and we were ready for the first dance. The couple chose ‘You and I’ by Tom Walker and this was a lovely moment, the couple then quickly beckoned their guests to join them on the dancefloor and the part officially got started.
All in all a lovely day for Keira and Danny and their loved ones, family and friends, and as ever as pleasure to be a part of it. Here’s a look at some of the images we got.
